Our Services

At Avra Veterinary Clinic, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive, professional animal health services.

Maintaining the health of your pet's teeth is the most important thing that you can do to increase the comfort and length of your pet's life.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is the non-invasive use of laser energy to generate a photochemical response in damaged or dysfunctional tissue.

Often, x-rays are needed in order to determine your pet’s disorder. Films/images allow us to see inside the animal to organs and bones that are hard to feel on a physical exam.

Just as with people there are many terrible diseases in pets that can be prevented or the effects diminished with proper vaccination. There are many reasons to vaccinate your pet.

Skin conditions in dogs and cats can have multiple causes. If your pet is itching, has dry flaky skin, odor, sores or hair loss, the cause may be fleas, other parasites such as scabies, dry skin, hormone problems, bacterial, fungal (ringworm), behavioral, allergies to food, allergies to airborne particles, autoimmune disorders, cancers and sometimes, idiopathic (unknown).

According to the American Humane Society, over 10 million dogs or cats are reported lost each year. Many of these lost pets are never reunited with their owners.

The news that your pet needs surgery can be scary. The staff at Avra Veterinary Clinic takes the care of your pet seriously. If surgery is recommended for your pet, rest assured that the procedure is necessary and our staff will provide the best care possible for your pet.

Wellness Exams

A wellness exam is an assessment of the general health of your pet. Besides a physical exam, the wellness check may include blood tests, urinalysis, and parasite screening. A wellness exam should be conducted at least annually.

Emergency and Urgent Care

While Avra Veterinary Clinic is not designated as an emergency pet clinic, we have protocols in place for the triage and treatment of emergencies.

Parasite Control

There are a number of parasites that can plague your pet. Some of them, like fleas and ticks, are easily detected. However, most parasites are not externally visible.

This diagnostic tool uses the refraction of high-frequency sound waves to produce an image of internal structures. It works well on soft tissues and is therefore a good tool to use when inspecting areas of pain and swelling. It also works well when examining most internal organs.
